Finding Rockhopper

You may wonder who Rockhopper is.  Rockhopper is a famous penguin that comes to Club Penguin every once in a while.  There are certain ways to find him.  I have found Rockhopper numerous times.  When you find him, and click on the icon to the very left of his card, you get a free background!  Rockhopper is slightly bigger than the other penguins, is always red, has a pirate hat, and a beard.  Rockhopper cannot be hacked, and does not have a password.  He is not a robot either.

If you want to find him, first thing’s first.  Check to see whether he’s online.  Go to Login as a different penguin, and type in Rockhopper in the username slot.  Then in the password slot, type in anything random that is more than 5 characters long.  Then click sign in.  If it says that the password is incorrect, then Rockhopper is online.  If it says that he’s been banned, he’s offline.

If he’s online, then the second thing is to find the server he’s on. Server hopping, which is quickly going from server to server, is helpful.
He’s most likely on servers like Mammoth or Rocky Road. A server that looks suspiciously full might be the one with Rockhopper in it.

If his ship, the Migrator, is here, he’s most likely to be there.  If you see a giant crowd of penguins dancing in one spot, Rockhopper is probably in the midst of them.  I’ve heard that if you send him a card, he might send you one back.  He also answers questions.  He doesn’t have a buddy list, and after a bunch of “Plz add me Rockhopper!”s, he said, “I don’t have a buddy list!  We all be buddies!”.

Here is what his card looks like:

When you click on the winking smilie, you get the free background.  When I created my account, Jirachi956, I landed right in the middle of Rockhopper’s visit.  I met him right before he left for Rockhopper island.  And I was really glad I had, because he didn’t come back until about 6 months afterward.
